Step Two: Analyzing and Sharing
Once the teachers were signed up and surveys taken, Maria would receive the results including maps for their state standards and standardized tests as well as professional development background information. From these, she would compare the maps, and come up with a professional development plan complete with evidence behind the plan. This preliminary plan will be shared with the administration first, and then to the teachers for discussion.

Step 3: Implementing Plan/Professional Development
With support from the school staff, the recommended professional development activities would be finalized and implemented.

Step 4: Check Up and Evaluation
Maria planned to repeat Step 1 and 2 early the next school year for a check on progress and other needed areas of development. She would include the assessment data when she evaluated so they could see if student achievement was being affected as well.
